Why this tool exists
Most dividend calculators fall into one of two camps: stripped-down widgets that ignore dividend growth entirely, or ticker-driven platforms that want you to create an account before showing a projection. This site takes a different route. One page, every meaningful input, a full year-by-year table, and the math out in the open. No signup, no data collection from the calculator itself, since everything runs in your browser.
How the math was verified
The calculator uses a share-based simulation: it tracks shares, share price, and dividend per share month by month, pays dividends on your chosen schedule, and optionally reinvests them. The dividend growth input follows the standard compound annual growth rate (CAGR) method, which was cross-checked against multiple independent references before publishing, including LegalClarity's dividend growth rate guide and FASTGraphs' explanation of the same formula. The dividend reinvestment mechanics were checked against Investor.gov, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's investor education site. Who's behind this
Cedrick Reese is a retired veteran and web developer who enjoys building free, user-friendly online tools that simplify everyday tasks. His journey began in the early 2000s with affiliate marketing and niche site development, which grew into a passion for creating practical digital utilities and calculators, a path that led him to found Ready Utilities. He has been investing in dividend stocks since 2019, and the tools on this site started as calculations he was running for his own portfolio. After retiring, he earned a Computer Systems Technician certificate from UEI College, completed Electro-Mechanical Technologies at Tulsa Welding School, and finished the Carpentry program at Florida State College at Jacksonville. Today, he combines his technical background and craftsmanship by building furniture using traditional woodworking methods, gardening, and developing helpful online tools for users worldwide.
